2013 Litters

Moriarty x Watson
Conception: October 25, 2013
Birthday: November 28, 2013

What a perfect prickle

This litter was full of healthy, happy hoglets. No complications arose within the pregnancy, and Moriarty herself allowed us to handle her right up to the delivery itself. Hours before she gave birth she was sprawled in our hand, tummy pressed against our palm letting us feel the movements and the multiple heartbeats.  During delivery itself (after four were born) she even wanted us to hold her and comfort her.

All lined up perfectly!

1. White facial mask, pink ears, reverse pinto coloring.
2. White facial mask, multicolored ears, reverse pinto coloring with pirate patches at the eyes.
3. Salt and pepper male, full dark mask and coloration about the legs.

1. Light brown facial mask, cinnamon ears and quills.
2. Dark full facial mask, dark ears, coloration on the legs. Low pinto coloring. Identical to mom!
3. Reverse pinto female, pink nose, white facial mask. High pinto coloring, with little chocolate horn like quills at the front of her quill visor.

As the proud Mother of the #3 female in this prickle; I couldn’t be happier with her. She was the tiniest of the prickle and still has her “baby face”, which I love. She is gentle and sassy at the same time and I love holding her in my hand every day. No matter how my day is going she always brings a smile to my face with her baby face.

There is a $50 non-refundable deposit that you put down so you guarantee that you receive the hoglet of your choice. The remainder is $200 paid in person upon pickup of the hoglet. Are you still breeding? If not can you refer me to someone in southern me please? I’ve been researching and I’m almost ready .

    • I am still breeding. We’re going to be putting our three females with males next week. 🙂 I’d be happy to recommend other breeders in MD and VA if you’re looking for hedgehog sooner, but I’m uncertain if they’re expecting litters/have hoglets at the moment.
